We love pizza and we love movies. On July 26, we are celebrating both by screening three of our favorite pizza pictures: Mystic Pizza (1988), the classic coming-of-age starring Julia Roberts in one of her earliest roles, Family Business (1982), a window into the golden age of sit-down pizza joints and one family’s efforts to keep their Midwestern business alive, and Untitled Pizza Movie (2023), a fantastic form-pushing documentary about two friends who set out on a quest to find New York City’s perfect slice.
We are thrilled to co-present Untitled Pizza Movie with Filmmaker Magazine. Director David Shapiro will be present for a post-screening conversation.
There will be a rotation of pizza makers slinging pies over the course of the day!
