Make a kite with us! Co-presented by Jean Lee & Dylan Davis of Ladies and Gentlemen Studio, Rockaway Film Festival, Materials for the Arts, and NYC Parks, this free workshop invites participants to use unexpected materials to build their own kite from scratch – no experience needed. Be resourceful. Try new ideas. Make something beautiful. Make something fly!

Led by Carolin Wood, David Marini & Jenny Tobias from Materials for the Arts, and other local kite enthusiasts, the workshop starts at 4pm at the Rockaway Beach Amphitheater. At 6pm, we will test our creations in the open sky on the beach between 94th and 95th street.

All supplies provided, courtesy of Materials for the Arts.

Stay for a live music performance by Tini Vessel at 7pm and a free screening of Mary Poppins at 8:30pm.
