Adrift on the Rhine river, teenagers operate a massive container ship carrying cargo along Europe's industrial ports and terminals. Working late nights and long hours, they dream about their futures and decide whether they want to stay onboard to pursue careers as captains or leave life on the sea behind. Shot over the course of four years by rising Swiss talent Max Carlo Kohal, Freight is a striking and intimate glimpse at the young sailors growing up in the vast, unseen world of transnational transport.
