After a twenty-year hiatus, stop-motion legends the Brothers Quay return with a bewitching adaptation of Polish writer Bruno Schulz’s 1937 book where a young man boards a train that carries him into a world suspended in time, half awake and half asleep. Building exquisite, handmade sets and operating meticulously controlled puppetry alongside ghostly live-action sequences, the Brothers raise a staggering labyrinth teetering on the edge of dreams.
